The retreat is appropriate for those new to meditation practice as well as those who are already dedicated to this path of awakening.  The retreat will be held in noble silence from the first evening until the last day, including a requirement to turn off and put away all electronic devices.  We welcome all people from widely diverse communities and backgrounds.

The Reclamation was born out of a desire to share an intentionally designed retreat that offers folks the spaciousness to connect with themselves, to explore modalities that prioritize reconnection with the physical body, which then grants access to a reset nervous system through emotional and energetic practices intentioned to shift a person from scarcity to open heartedness.

In this work, we are not experts. We simply are sharing tools we have experienced in our own bodies and practiced in our own self care as a way to help others be guided towards the inner wisdom each person possesses within. We are creating a co-collaborative space of exploration and rediscovery, with the intention of healing.

I have been a professional artist for more than forty years. My work has been shown in galleries in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. I served as the director for the Lubbock Arts Alliance for several years and taught Art Appreciation at Texas Tech University for 18 years.

Over the past 20 years, I have led various art workshops in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Some of the workshops included painting, shrine building, mixed media construction and spirit dolls. I discovered SoulCollage® several years ago and became a facilitator. I have gotten so much out of my own SoulCollage® practice that I wanted to share it with others and have led several workshops that focused on just that. I thoroughly enjoy being with workshop participants as they discover new levels of creativity and personal insight.

Infinity Retreat with Billy Merritt

Hiking spectacular terrain, elite food, revitalizing yoga, massage, and just plain relaxation - with the camaraderie of other great people....this is the tried and true way for a powerful mind-body recharge - something of value like nothing else. Think of the Infinity Retreat as an investment in yourself. After all, what is of greater value than You?

Watch the video below to see just why New Mexico is referred to as "the land of enchantment". And learn what others, like you, have gained from the Infinity Retreat experience.

A day at the Infinity Retreat…

AWAKEN IN THE LAND OF ENCHANTMENT:

After a great night’s sleep we’re up together to savor another classic New Mexico sunrise. And, of course, with a hot cup of Chai, in hand.

Then it’s time for your daily yoga class in magical setting of the great outdoors! After limbering up for an adventure packed day it’s time for a wonderful home-cooked breakfast, including of course a revitalizing smoothie that I make for you personally.

After that, we’re out the door to embark on the day's hiking adventure into the land of enchantment!..exploring some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world.

Take note that I gauge the hikes based on your ability level. It’s creating a balance between making it both fun and challenging. As always, we’ll maintain that objective when determining the length and difficulty of the hikes. Since there will be a few trail guides, including myself, it will be possible for everyone to hike at their own pace.

Part of what makes all of the hikes very special is how you’re sharing these experiences with other great people. The camaraderie with other adventurers that share similar values is a very special part of the Infinity Retreats.

After the hike we return home, with feelings of achievement. And of course an increased sense of awe, inspired from the magical landscapes of northern New Mexico.

EVENING IN SERENITY:

And the day is not done yet! How about some time in the hot tub or pool? (note - the October retreat temperatures can be cool so there will be no pool. Hooray for hot tubs, though!)

Make special note for Monday and Wednesday that you get massages!

And each day there will be time for you to simply relax and enjoy life!

Then time for dinner! You’ll be delighted by the delicious, highly nutritious vegetarian meals that will be prepared for you every day by a private chef under my guidance. Note - there is no alcohol served at Infinity Retreats.

After dinner you’ll enjoy a special group activity.

This will include taking some time to share together the things that are important for optimizing our health in both mind and body. And even spirit too.

And we have an entire week together during which you can get health and nutrition coaching from me personally.

Some evenings we’ll be out to enjoy the magical town of Taos. You’ll experience why it’s accredited to be an artist’s town full of magic. After all, it's referred to as the ‘land of enchantment’.

We will also visit some historic sites to take in the special heritage of the area.

AWAKEN YOUR SPIRITUAL HEART: A KUNDALINI EXPERIENCE WITH AUBREY ZINAICH

ABOUT RETREAT

What is Kundalini Yoga?  Kundalini yoga is called the yoga of awareness. The Kundalini energy is vitality, creativity, and consciousness. As we practice, this energy becomes awakened within us. Kundalini Yoga combines posture, breath, hand position, sound, and eye focus to produce a powerful experience and a shift in mind, body, and spirit.

Yoga is so much more than a set of bendy asanas. Yoga gives us a framework for self-realization, a guide to becoming more authentically us. Join me in summer 2022 in Taos, New Mexico for a journey of discovery. During each of our physical practices, we will explore what it means to truly live our yoga, to dive deep into both our hearts and our spiritual hearts. We will explore various teachings from multiple traditions including The Bhagavad Gita, The Upanishads & Japji Sahib to enhance our own individual personal practices.

Each day will have plenty of free time to spend relaxing, adventuring, or simply being in the presence of the mountains and the desert. Optional excursions will be available as well as optional spa services. Each day’s practice will include breathwork, chanting & mantra, asana, concentration, and meditation to awaken our individual Kundalini energy, the energy of our creativity and vitality. Optional advanced meditation practices will be available as well.

Join me and awaken your body, mind, and spirit through Kundalini yoga. In each class, participants are invited to explore the concepts of what makes Kundalini yoga a Raja form of yoga, by experiencing with an open heart the Bhakti (devotional) nature & Shakti (strength) of their own Higher Self.Kundalini Yoga is a way of living using the tri-fold approach of Bhakti Yoga (devotion), Shakti Yoga (increasing energy & vitality) & Raja Yoga (stilling the fluctuations of the mind). A special focus is paid to Patanjali’s kriya yoga system: tapaḥ (discipline), svādhyāya (spiritual study) and iśvarapraṇidāna (devotion to the Divine). Kundalini Yoga uses Pranayama / Breathwork, Meditation, Chanting / Singing, Concentration, Mudra, and more to encourage each person to connect deeply to their own True Essence, to recognize that the other person is us and to realize a blissful state of non-duality.

Testimonials

“I am so grateful to have found Aubrey’s kundalini yoga classes! Aubrey is an amazing yoga teacher and her authentic voice and down-to-earth nature allow her to convey the complexity and depth of kundalini in an incredibly accessible way. She is extremely knowledgeable and it’s clear that she is deeply passionate about all aspects of yoga and yogic philosophy –  I always walk away with a new nugget of information each class. I also really appreciate the sense of community Aubrey creates in her classes, she truly gets to know her students and creates a variety of opportunities for the group to become closer. Since starting kundalini classes with Aubrey, I have noticed a big improvement in my health and wellbeing and I try to attend them as often as I can!”  — Kristina

“I found Aubrey’s classes in late 2019 when seeking a spiritual practice for balance and equanimity.  What a difference and positive impact Aubrey’s Sunday Sadhana (and occasional weekday classes) have made for me in facing the challenges of life.   Elements of her classes resound and become part of a daily practice for me, which she graciously has helped me develop.  Her wisdom and insights are wrapped in a light spirit, good humor, and love.  “Open Heartedness” was a theme for a time, and it radiates from Aubrey always.”  — Deborah

“Three years ago, I signed up to take my first Kundalini class. I thought it would be a challenging, one-time experience. At the time, a class featuring a gong,  chanting, and meditation was intimidating to me. Fast forward to now, I’m attending class three times a week, and would do more if my schedule permitted.  Thanks to Aubrey, I’m enjoying the practice more than I ever thought I would.  Aubrey is an inspiring and thoughtful teacher who makes every class enjoyable and rewarding. During each session, she guides the participants with a thoughtful quote and practice. Thanks to Aubrey and Kundalini yoga I am continuously learning about myself and the world around me.”  — Monika

“BE HERE NOW”: MINDFULNESS IN THE MOUNTAINS OF TAOS, NM WITH JENNIFER LENHART

  • Blue Sky Retreat Center (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Join Jennifer Lenhart on a 6-day spiritual retreat in magical Taos, New Mexico. Bounded by the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and at an elevation of 6,969, Taos is located in the high desert of northern New Mexico. Along with breathtaking natural beauty, hiking, and mineral hot springs, Taos is known for historic adobe buildings (including Taos Pueblo).  As a longtime artist colony, the town offers many galleries and museums showcasing local and regional artwork. Our retreat accommodations are a charming adobe-style lodge built-in 1925.

Taos is also home to the Baba Neem Karoli Ashram & Hanuman Temple. Baba Neem  Karoli (known to his devotees as Mahara-ji) was the beloved guru of Ram Dass.  Auspiciously, our retreat in the “Land of Enchantment” coincides with the July full moon and the holiday Guru Purnima, a traditional celebration dedicated to gurus, or enlightened spiritual masters. On this day, seekers offer gratitude and devotion to their gurus and receive their blessings. Visiting the Baba Neem Karoli Ashram will be one of the optional excursions offered to our group.

Retreats offer us a chance to step away from the busyness of daily life in order to reconnect with nature and ourselves, to build community with like-minded seekers, and to work on our spiritual practice in an immersive and intentional way. Our retreat will include daily breath-centered and mindful Jivamukti yoga asana practice; dharma talks and discussion focusing on the teachings of Ram Dass and Mahara-ji; seated guided and seated silent meditation; walking meditation (on the retreat center’s outdoor labyrinth);  pranayama (breathing exercises); chanting mantras accompanied by the harmonium;  singing bowls; a karma yoga service project; and nourishing home-cooked plant-based meals. There will also be plenty of free time for resting, enjoying the pool and hot tub at the retreat center, and exploring nature and the town of Taos.

Jennifer Lenhart is a certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher and is recognized by Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500. She stepped onto the yoga path in 1994 and began teaching in 2009  after graduating from Marni Task’s Jivasara Yoga Teacher Training program. She is a  Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP); a certified Thai Yoga Massage practitioner; has led residential yoga & meditation retreats locally and internationally; is a  certified Y12SR: Yoga of 12-Step Recovery Leader; and holds a Master’s Degree in  English Literature. In her classes, expect to hear eclectic music, practice some devotional chanting, consider how the teachings and philosophy of yoga can be applied to modern life, be asked to bring awareness to the breath, be encouraged to find optimal alignment in the asanas, and experience skillful hands-on assists. And probably enjoy some laughter,  too.

Testimonials:

“I love attending Jen’s classes! She fosters a sense of community in her yoga classes that is welcoming and kind. Her adjustments are fantastic and her explanations are helpful.  For beginners or advanced yogis, Jen’s classes are a great experience.”

“Jennifer is open and friendly and has a light-hearted feel to her classes. She is not the  ‘practice at the front of the room and everyone else should follow’ teacher–she is the  teacher who explains, very specifically, what the class is to do and demos only as needed (e.g. for newer students or complicated poses). She is all over the room doing hands-on adjustments and her savasana massages are divine. Sequencing is clearly planned for best practice, and students are often challenged (but never forced) to try new or more complicated poses. Spiritually founded classes that are not too heavy on the spiritual stuff  but remind the student that it’s there–as it should be–check her out.”

“Jennifer helped me understand mindfulness when I started practicing yoga years ago. She is such a warm, wise, and loving woman, and she is an excellent yoga instructor. She lives a true yogi life. I completely trust and honor Jennifer.”

“Jennifer is a wonderful teacher that guides students through a slow engaging flow.  She provides plenty of options for all levels, and her classes are welcoming to a  beginner yet provide a challenge to an experienced yogi. She teaches mindful awareness to the core and helps students to build core strength in any pose. She brings laughter to the practice and the joy of being human on our mats. I highly  recommend Jennifer to people new to the mat and long-time yogis as well.”
